Tryouts begin Sat March 15th.
Arrive at the rink 30 minutes before the scheduled time below to allow
for check-in and tryout number assignment. Except for the Instructional
mite tryouts, all tryouts will be held at Hockeytown, Rt. 1S, Saugus.
Registration is not allowed at tryouts. Players must attend all tryout
hours for their age division.
Instructional Mites: 2 hours: 2 dates: Sat, Mar 15, & Sat Mar 22, both
7:30 AM, at the LoConte MDC rink in Medford.
Mites: 3 hours: 2 dates: 1st on Mon, Mar 17th at 5:20 PM, and 2nd on
Fri, Mar 21st from 5:20 PM (2 hrs- back to back).
Squirts: 3 hours: 3 dates: 1st on Mon, Mar 17th at 6:30 PM, 2nd on Wed,
Mar 19th at 6:30 PM, and 3rd on Weds, Mar 26th at 6:50 PM.
Peewees: 3 hours: 2 dates: 1st on Weds, Mar 19th at 5:20 PM, 2nd on Mon,
Mar 24th at 5:20 PM (2 hrs- back to back).
Bantams: 3 hours: 2 dates: Wed, Mar 19th at 6:50 PM and 2nd on Weds, Mar
26th at 5:20(2 hrs- back to back).
Youth Hockey All Girls' Team
Wakefield Youth Skating Association is forming a "U14" (1994 DOB &
younger) girls' team for the 08-09 season. The team will play in the
Valley League, have weekly practices, and be scheduled for skills and
x-ice games. Goaltenders will be included in the goalie clinic. Check
www.wysa.net after Thurs March 13th for
additional information. A
meeting will be prior March 20th to finalize details and determine level
of interest.
All Girls' Hockey Clinic- last session
Wakefield Youth Skating Association's All girls' hockey skills clinic
held at 1:00 PM on Sundays at Hockeytown on Route 1S in Saugus ends on
March 16th Each 60-minute session of the 10-session clinic will be lead
by a Tier I Hockey School instructor. Cost is $10 per session.
Additional Coaches needed for next season
Coaches will be needed at the Instructional Mite, Mite, Squirt, Peewee,
Bantam, and Midget levels for next season. Applications are available
from our web site. Turn in
applications to Maureen Leone.
