On April 20th, the first annual 2nd year Bantams vs Coaches game was played at Hockeytown. The coaches came away with the win. A good time was had by all! WYSA thanks all the players and wishes them good luck!!

The two Wakefield Instruction Mite teams closed out the year with a fun trip and game between periods at the Providence Bruins game on April 14^th.

 The two teams squared off between the periods and both goalies where kept busy with a lot of end to end play.

In the end the Red team ended up on top with a lot of smiles and fun had by all.

Wakefield Youth Skating Association has been awarded a Mike Cheever Grow Hockey grant from Mass Hockey and the Boston Bruins.  This program is for girls ages 10 to 14 who would like to try the sport of Hockey in a low cost and low commitment program.  This is a beginner program designed for girls will limited skating experience and are not currently  on a team.  The sessions will start in late Fall.  Please contact Bill Welch 617 306 1706 bill.welch@tekelec.com for further details.
